Picnik

More advanced, more options, really nice sharpness effect to compensate for movement, wide array of
Cons
Very basic, limited number of tools, whitening and red eye don't work very well, saturation and color tool not user friendly
You have to pay for some effects, clip art is still cheesy,

Pixenate and Picnik both edit, paint, and add to pictures. However, there is a noticible difference between the two. Pixenate is more for the amateur editor, having more unrealistic looking options for people to use. The tools are limited, and half of them don't work anyway. Editing contrast, saturation, and color is difficult, and Clip art is cheesy and out of place. Pixenate in short, is trash. Picnik on the other hand offers a wider variety of tools to use. Things like saturation, temperature, clarity, and the miracle worker that is sharpness are all the things that make picnik a effective, user friendly tool. With Picnik, it's easy to make ameateur pictures done with simple point and shoot cameras look professional. Picnik also allows you to edit out blemishes, smooth wrinkles, and even give fake tans. When comparing the two, there is no contest on why picnik is the better option.

Although it is not the best, Pixenate is good for just having fun with pictures or making a slapstick, funny picture. Picnik is for a more serious photographer interested in making quick fixes on his or hers pictures. Picnik offers an easy alternative to photoshop, perfect for an editor looking for a decent photo editing expirience.
